Protagonista della storia è Ritsu Onodera, un editor per una casa editrice di libri di proprietà del padre. A causa della gelosia dei suoi colleghi, decide di cambiare lavoro e diventa editor di manga shojo per l’editore Marukawa. Qui però troverà l’ostilità del suo capo Masamune Takano, che si rivelerà essere il suo primo grande amore ai tempi della scuola.
